IRONMEN FOOTBALL AND CHEER 9/24/2022 Varsity @ Brentwood and 9/25/2022
JV and Developmental @ Erie Catholic
The North Pittsburgh Catholic Ironmen organization has their JV and DEV teams coming off of their Byes, while the Varsity had another dominating win over Westmoreland 50-6. As they enter week 4, the Ironmen teams all remain in 1st place in their respective divisions, with only needing 1 more win to clinch playoff berths.
The Ironmen Varsity team is set to face off with their toughest opponent of the year, which looks to be Brentwood. Brentwood is coming off of a 46-7 victory of Erie Catholic. So, as the Ironmen finish their road travels this weekend, they look to turn to the Iron Clad D to turn down the music on Brentwood who is averaging 47 points per game in their young season. The Ironmen look to be up to the challenge as they enter the game allowing 8 points a game to their opponent.
With a win against Brentwood, the Ironmen will clinch a playoff spot and depending on what happens around the league Sunday, will clinch a 1 or 2 seed for the playoffs.

Welcome to the BATTLE OF 79!! As the players hit Grove City, Meadville and then Mercer, they begin to visualize the opportunity they have to face off with their best opponent of the season thus far and their 2021 playoff Rivals!
The JV and Developmental team head up north for both to face off with Erie Catholic, who is also coming off of their bye weeks. Both teams are battling for a 1st place win and look to push over Erie Catholic. With the desire to take on Erie, a win would get both JV and DEV sole place of first place in their divisions. A win will also move them one game closer to clinching a 1 or 2 seed in their respective division.
Last season Brentwood did not play in the Pittsburgh Diocese League and are definitely making their presence known in the 2022 season.
The Erie Catholic Developmental team won the Championship last season over your Ironmen, and had an overall record of 6-0. Last Season Erie Catholic scored a total of 225 points to their opponents 20. The young Ironmen look to get revenge and as they face off for the first of 2 games this Sunday.
Erie Catholic JV team is also coming off of a strong 2021 campaign (3-2 record) where the came in 2nd place to Erie McDowell in the championship game. The JV team seeks revenge as well, seeing as Erie Catholic was the team that exited the Ironmen early from the playoffs.

JV FOOTBALL
The JV Ironmen team is coming off of their week 3 bye ready to head up North to face off with Erie Catholic who looks to be their best competitor yet of the young season. Erie Catholic edged the Ironmen last year in the playoffs, forcing them to exit early. The Ironmen enter with a chip on their shoulder, seeking revenge against a team they look to take down and send to the middle of Lake Erie.
The JV team is coming off of a huge 28-0 victory over the St. Louise Trojans and with a win on Sunday, they will have full command of the JV division.
The JV Iron Clad D has yet to allow a point against them and looks to continue their ways this Sunday. The defense is getting themselves a name around the league and teams are beginning to realize that the Ironmen are not to be taken lightly.
Some teams fear them, some teams want to be like them. A resilient team that will not give an inch to their opponent.
